No more invisible pink unicorns
Sent in by Chad
As a child growing up in a Christian family I often went to church sang worship, discussed religion with other Christians and played with a lot of other Christian kids from my church, while I didn't have many other friends do to my home schooling, but I did go to a public school later and met my now best friend Al whom by his mother was encouraged to seek out a religion of his own (he chose Buddhism).
We would often discuss religion together, and I was very interested in the things he had to say because he never spoke about Jesus or God’s Word and how big the universe was and that god was great. Instead he talked about new exciting things like meditation and the kind of peace one finds when you break all conflict within yourself.
A few years later my family became churchless because we found out about the priest being a pedophile (no joke), so we stopped going to church. And then Al stopped his practice of Buddhism for his own reasons, and we both pretty simultaneously stopped believing any invisible pink unicorns. And of course I went through the usual cold turkey of "Oh shit I’m going to go to hell, but got over it pretty quickly when Al and I came up with our own formula against god, which is basically: "If God Loves us so much then why did he make a pit of despair for his reject children?"
I follow Jesus’ teachings all the way up to the point of believing in an invisible pink unicorn (or in other words, God).

Oh and funny story I walked into a christian club at my school and in 10 minutes only 6 out of 23 stayed christians. Oh and the 6 who stayed walked out in 5 minutes. they were scared of truth. So much for that club.
I like this one, Without humans, there is no God. Without humans, a God has no power, human's give their God power.
But, I am a believer in the Christ of God, "Why? I do not know, I just do. If I had a reason, then I would not be a believer if the reason was not there, But I have no reason, and need none. "God knows what He is doing, I don't, and, know no one, that knows what He is doing, but, "He does, and thats all that matters. Whether we do, or do not, makes no difference at all. We and this planet, are very insignificant in the whole scheme of things.
Are you bragging, complaining, or proselytising?
How did you come to believe christ is god if you have no religion and need no religion? Did someone hit you over the head with a bible and you had an instant revelation? I think you left a great deal of your "story" out of your post so we wouldn't catch on to your actual christian fundamentalism.
How can you even be sure the god you worship is the right one? Have you read the vespas, or the qur'an?
How do you even know "god knows what he is doing"? That would be possible only if you had knowledge greater than god.
Give us more details of your christianity by osmosis.
It's Celestials, the Universal Salvation Determinist wack-job troll.
I have always had a major battle with this issue. As an Ex Christian myself, I failed to understand how God could love us unconditionally yet throw us into hell because we didn’t develop a relationship with him. Is it spite? Hurt? Anger? Did he create us JUST to worship him, and those who do not have no use to him at all? That kind of goes against the whole “love” debate. Perhaps someone could shed some light on this because I, for one, are very confused about this point of view from the Christians.
I am Agnostic Theist. I do believe there is something out there, be it a God, or a spirit, or something, but I don’t believe in the bibles account of it. I certainly do not believe in hell. I can never get my head around the issue as to why it was even created? I believe Revelation states that Satan ends up in a lake of fire, and I can understand why the Christians can easily believe this, but for billions of people to end up there two? Are the Christians saying God is going to give me the same fate as Satan?
